Electric Shock Therepy anyone?

I am considering trying ECT for my severe depression. My question is this; has anyone on this panel ever had it done? If so, was it helpful and how did you feel afterward?

I first had it 30 years ago and it saved my life. I was catatonic and after a few treatments I was able to hold my head up. The last treatments I had were a few years ago and they are so much different. You will probably have a headache the day of the treatment and possibly a bit of amnesia. Nothing big. The treatments today are so much different then they were. I am HUGE advocate for it.

My daughter had to have ect because she was catatonic with depression. It was the best thing she could have done. She is now down to once a week and I have seen such a huge improvement in her. Almost back to her old self. I would definitely recommend it if you are suffering.
