Nightmares and Restlessness

To some of you, you know that my anxiety has gotten worse due to my recent breakup. For the past few days, I tried to block him out of my life but he comes back in my dreams. Every scenario, every night he comes back to me, and they're happy dreams. I would wake up feeling so restless and anxious because he's not really there anymore. Now, every morning I'm hurting and would just want to keep staying in bed and cry. Please help.

I'm so sorry that you're dealing with that, I know how it feels.

It's hard and it's going to feel really horrible for a while. Did you and him have a bad falling out or was it a relatively smooth breakup?

It was kind of both? He's my first bf and we dated for 2 and a half years. He broke up with me but I knew that it was time, so it was kind of mutual but I still didn't want it to happen.

That's understandable. The dreams will let up eventually, your subconscious is trying to help you cope .Hopefully you can realize it's for the best and look forward to the life changes after the initial sadness passes. When I was going through it my friends always told me it's a blessing in disguise.

How is it a blessing in disguise?

Kind of like how one door closed another one opens. It sucks now but eventually thw changes will turn out to be good
