I used to love to sleep but now I hate it. Every night is a deep dive into my subconscious and experiencing everything that scares me, rehashing conversations with people I’ve lost, and reliving all my past regrets.

That sounds so awful 😔 sorry you’re going through this. Do you get the dreams even when you’re in deep sleep or just when you’re trying to sleep? Maybe try relaxation and destress techniques before sleeping

Hope that helps

My brain is a hamster wheel. I think about them going to sleep and then while I sleep I dream variations of the same themes.

Have you tried relaxation techniques before bed

Naturally, I'm the oddball that ENJOYS nightmares. A shame that you couldn't just ship your unwanted nightmare- subconscious my way. Although, in thinking about it further, your nightmares would likely not have the desired impact on me; those nightmares, for better or worse, are your metaphorical children, acting up precisely when you don't want them to. Some have suggested that nightmares can be instructional, providing you know the right questions to ask. With enough effort/willpower some have also suggested that one can control their dreams/nightmares.

All that stated, maybe a "Nightmare on Elm Street" marathon WOULDN'T be the best quarantine watch list for you. :p

Sleep? What's that like???😎
