Don't give up

I've been dealing with depression and anxiety for 25 years its not something that there is a magic cure for but there are things you can do to manage. Getting help is first step medications are key as well as exercising and getting more social. I no how hard it is when you feel like crawling in a cave and sleeping for days. You have to learn to take care of yourself to manage your symptoms. Not everyone will understand... My family acts like I'm being lazy they don't know depression has real physical symptoms ..if I had any other illness like diabetes or a broken leg they could see the struggle but they can't every day I must get up and do what I need to to stay a floate.

i know where you are coming from.

folks need to talk full responsibility for their lives. It is not enough to say you have mental illness you need to seek out medical help wherever you can find it and make you to be part of the decision-making cause this is your brain those doctors, many of them who don't even know what it means to be depressed, they are messing with.

if drug is not working, rather than quit or give up, let the doctor know and demand he do something to rid you of the symptoms. If one doctor doesn't listen to you, find another who will. We can only get the respect we fight for. It doesn't come for cheap
