Hi sadly many people just don't get depression at all even though it is out in the open more and more. Don't forget everyone has their own problems in life as well and often haven't got space to hear yours. It doesn't mean they don't care. Often others don't know how to help you so they choose to ignore you.
I have found you don't need to be endlessly talking about your depression and how bad you feel, just try and take part as much as you can in normal life and be very careful whom you talk to. Sometimes just being with loved ones without always having to bring it up is enough to make you feel better in itself.
You don't say whether you have been to the doctors or are on any meds and counselling. They are the ones to talk to and us of course because we all understand.
my entire family is emotionally stronger than me. even though I appear to be... Im dying on the inside because I want to be at home in bed crying for no reason... The hardest is when they ignore us because they truly dont know what to say, they are hurting for you and only want to help. I want so badly for my boyfriend to just fucking wake the fuck up and hear me... But the reality is no one will ever hear us unless they are going through it too... Take a deep breath when you feel they arent listening or just dont get it and talk about something else. This is why I have joined this community is to try and find similarities with others here. I can totally relate to what your feeling.
