my husband suffers from chronic depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress syndrome. I have gotten to a place where I am looking for support and to understand better how I can be there for him. We communicate really well but sometimes I feel like I am in over my head.
Hope you are all having a wonderful night!

I'm sorry to hear about your husband. It's very wise of you to try to understand what your husband is going through. Very kind of you, too. It's a pretty tough and miserable bunch of problems to learn how to cope with. Hopefully he learns how to deal with his problems quickly and as easily as possible. He needs a psychiatrist and a counselor/therapist to guide him through this process. I hope he doesn't try to skip the therapist part. It's tempting when you don't understand how critical it is.
If you read some of these messages you'll get an idea of the struggle and pain that people go through during the problems that are similar to your husband's. I can also try to answer your questions. But right now I don't know where to start or end because this is a huge subject and I could write a book on it just to give you an idea about what your husband is going through. So it's best you get answers to specific questions and browse through here to get the general feel of this site.
One thing I would like to add is for you to look into joining a group of other people who are going through similar stuff. You can see if the local hospital has programs, or you might find support groups in your area, via the internet.
This will help you to see you are NOT alone in this and learn how others are dealing with this type of situation.
You might even make a friend or two. Most self-help groups are free or ask for a small donation. They also have a list of numbers, of other members to call, if you need to. Adding your number to one of these lists is completely voluntary.
