I was initially prescribed Ativan 1mg when I was diagnosed to get me through a month home, but I cut it into halves and eventually quarters. I visited my doctor when I got home and he suggested Celexa 10mg daily. It's an anti-depressant, but many anti-depressants are very good for anxiety.

I am taking Bupropion and it does not seem to help

I haven't heard of that and looked it up online. It says it can be used to treat Seasonal Affective Disorder and aid smoking cessation. Are you working with both? Your doctor may need to change the dosage too. I'm sorry if I'm not much help :(

Prozac is considered an excellent drug for anxiety. Many doctors combine it was a drug like xanax to help fill in the gaps since it can take 4-6 wks for Prozac to reach a therapeutic level.

Hi. Lots of antidepressants are used for anxiety. I suppose it's mainly SSRIs, citalopram, fluoxetine, paroxetine, sertraline and sometimes SNRIs like venlafaxine and Duloxetine.

It depends on your symptoms, how you are sleeping etc as to which you may be prescribed.

I have seen someone answer on here that bupropion is not good for anxiety as it is quite activating so not much good for anxiety.

Benzodiazepines can be used in the short term like diazepam, lorazepam but docs tend to avoid because they're worried about people becoming reliant/addicted to them. It's a bit annoying as they work well when used appropriately.

I'd go back to your doc and maybe try something different.

Much love ❤️

You're welcome.

You will find one that helps you, I'm sure.

Sometimes it's a bit of trial and error, finding what works for you - as everyone reacts differently to medication.
