Meds
There are so many different kinds of medication that work in different ways. It can take a while to find the right one because you have to spend the time trying wrong ones first. But it has been a price I've been willing to pay to find the best medicine for me. I feel the same way about side effects. Most go away after a while and the ones I still have like over sweating and shaking hands are still much better than being dead from suicide.
I agree because I'm almost there
I can't take the side effects either. You might consider counseling, Ativan for emergencies and learning self soothing exercises. That is what I have been using. All of the above.
You've got the wrong end of the stick. We take meds to feel better not to feel worse. Nobody would take meds if they made you feel worse. They wouldn't get approved for public prescription if they made you feel worse.
And what are these meds that turn you into zombies. I've taken meds and never became a zombie. I've never met anybody who became a zombie.
I don't believe meds have permanent side effects. Any slight effects pass after a week or two max. The only side effects are those people imagine they have because they're EXPECTING side effects. Don't expect side effects and you won't have any.
My advice, give yourself a break, go to your doctor and get meds. And take them. You'll feel much better.
U know your body and yourself best. I don't like meds either and I do get side effects. Some completely intolerable. However, Sometimes u need meds if things get worse. You'll know when u r ready. Other techniques such as therapy with a psychotherapist, meditation (consistent), yoga, self-soothing techniques, proper supplements, acupuncture, and many more will help too. It's a whole process. Will require some effort but it will help!!!!!
Have you tried different kinds of meds? Their not all the same. I've tried different kinds, I'm on Mirtazapine for about 6 months now I feel fine, no side effects. You can't give up, change doctors if you have too, I have.
I have tried several different kind of medication and it didn't make me feel better. I have read about genetic testing and went for it. The result showed how my body metabolizes medication and suggested 3 meds to try. The first i tried is Mirtazapine and it has been working very well for me however the weight gain is something to watch for sure.
Hope you find what works for you.
I am sorry that you have to go through this. My stepson feels the same way. He hates the meds they put him on. Have you thought about counseling or therapy? Have you thought about getting involved in a local support group or bible study? Somewhere where you can have a support system and not be alone? I am passing along a phone number if you would like to use it fine, if not that's ok too, but it gets you a counselor on the phone there is no charge and they can get you connected with some good counseling. Thinking of you. The number is 1-855-382-5433. You reaching out for help shows your courage to be better.
Side affects are real and they continue on whether you recognize them or not. That's why I use all natural supplements, proper nutrition, exercise & counseling. The prescription pad is way over used and many studies suggest that a severe nutritional deficency involving one or more vitamins/minerals could be behind a significant amount of our world's mental & physical problems!
I understand u. My hbp med mAkes me ill and weak so I don't need more to get me down. So that's y I want natural help
