History:
First diagnosed @ age 71 in August 2019 (By a Physician).
The biopsy results (October 2019) were 5 of 12 GS 10, 2 of 12 GS 9, and 5 of 12 Benign.
PSA 3.5.
Scans Results: Only one Met Increased uptake in S1.
Genetic test: negative, MSI High
Three MOs reviewed my case, and they concluded that although I have a high Gleason score, based on CHAARTED and LATTITUDE, I have a low-volume, low-risk disease (no visceral involvement, 1 site of bony disease). So, it was recommended that I follow the STAMPEDE trial.
Treatments:
1)Lupron shot every 3 months, effective December 2019.
2) Abiraterone 250 mg with a low-fat breakfast
3)Radiation to Pelvic for 4 weeks

Entire 2020 and 2021

Started Keytruda on 10/22/2024 Infusion Number 1 or C1
Side Effects: For the first two weeks, I had horrible Nausea and brain fog. From the third week, back to normal.
November 18, 2024. PSA 0.1 (went down 90% from October number)
December 3, 2024 Infusion Number 2 or C2 PSA < 0.04 (The lab gives the smallest number.)
Side Effects: Muscle aches. Needed Advil. No more GI problems or Brain fog.
January 7, 2025 Infusion Number 3 or C3 PSA < 0.04
Side Effects: Muscle aches. Occasional Advil.
January 28, 2025 Infusion Number 4 or C4 PSA < 0.04
Side Effects: Muscle aches. Occasional Advil.
Scans are scheduled in February.
Life Style:
Exercise: Walking 4-5 miles/day + workout with a trainer
Diet: Plant-based + Fish every other day
Note: Getting Keytruda infusion is a piece of cake. Only 30 minutes session.
So far, I have lucked out with no significant side effects. The Oncologist recommends every three weeks for two years. That's a long way to go. We will see what the future holds.
Current Treatments:
Keytruda is administered every three weeks, and ADT injection is administered every three months.
