Pluvicto
Having been a patient for 26 years, Kudo's to you. I went to your "bio" to read more details about your amazing journey, nothing of the journey you have been on there?Would love to read the details of your long journey, some of the details of your treatments might help one of us?
If you can find the time, please fill in more details of treatments, disease info, we would love to read them.
If that would be intrusive, I understand, and God Bless you and your continued sucess fighting this monster!
I had 6 sessions of Pluvicto ($148,000 each, total over one million paid by Medicare) and it didn't work!! It was followed by docetaxel which also failed. Now I am on cabazitaxel and carboplatin which lowered my PSA to 0.04.
So, you see, there are more treatments if Pluvicto fails. God Bless
P.S. If Tall_Allen comments, believe him.
My husband had 4 sessions. While he felt great while on it, his ALP & PSA rose to over 230. A scan showed major progression of bone Mets, skull to femurs. Since he had done taxotere twice already, was put on Cabazitaxel. Last draw, PSA was 32. However since 9/12 he’s been in the hospital 4 times for radiation cystitis so chemo was halted. Then developed blood clots to the lungs. So 3 issues going at once now. We are in our 8th year - he will be 72 in January
Yes, I am on Medicare AB. My share of the million dollars was $0.00
Greetings Lakelanier, Thanks for your info regarding your current use of meds, and your 26 year total of fighting those tiny bastards.
Now if you don't mind, please let us know what info you wish from us. Also it would be for your benefit and ours if you would fill in your bio info. Thank you!!!
Note: Lake Lanier (officially Lake Sidney Lanier) is a reservoir in the northern portion of the U.S. state of Georgia. It was created by the completion of Buford Dam on the Chattahoochee River in 1956, and is also fed by the waters of the Chestatee River. The lake encompasses 38,000 acres (15,000 ha) or 59 sq mi (150 km2) of water, and 692 mi (1,114 km) of shoreline at normal level, a "full pool" of 1,071 ft (326 m) above mean sea level and the exact shoreline varies by resolution according to the coastline paradox. Named for Confederate poet Sidney Lanier.

It's impressive that you've been managing prostate cancer for 26 years, and completing 20 chemotherapy sessions followed by Pluvicto (Lutetium-177-PSMA) is a major milestone. With your PSA at 0.26 after the fifth session, it suggests that the Pluvicto treatments may have been effective in controlling your cancer.
It's common to experience less severe side effects with successive rounds of treatment as the body adjusts, so it's great to hear that your last three sessions were easier. Now that you've completed the full Pluvicto course, the next steps will likely involve monitoring through regular PSA tests and imaging to assess long-term results.
Do you already have a follow-up plan in place with your oncologist for post-Pluvicto monitoring?
Glad to hear about your PSA. But you don't say where it was when you started chemo or the Pluvicto sessions. ALso curious about state of mets and or any new progessive disease .
