Just wanted to post an update. We got some fantastic news today. Dad’s last PSA was 294 two months ago Then started Olaparib. A month ago it was 295.. Today’s PSA was 86!!!! So excited that it appears immunotherapy is working. Dr. couldn’t feel dad’s liver either so swelling and hopefully mets are shrinking. Best news we’ve had in 11 years! We will find out on the 17th with another scan.

Hope everyone had a blessed holiday.

Best of luck with your scans.. Immunotherapy is wonderful when it works. This darned disease keeps us juggling to see what will work for us, To each his own. Mine is working too,. Woopie .. and whoopie.

Great news! Lynparza is not an immunotherapy, however; it's a PARP inhibitor. Your father has a rare mutation, Rad51B, that is vulnerable to it.

That’s correct, Parp inhibitor! I have been researching immunotherapy for the last couple weeks so that was stuck in my mind. Freudian slip. Regardless I’m over the moon thrilled at this point. Woohoo!
