PSA 1.34 - Testosterone <7 ng/dl

My urologist indulged me and gave me the requested tests, numbers look good for 60 days on Eligard (Lupron).

I have been concerned that Lupron is not working as I am still having sex 3-4 times /week.

Does it say <7 because testosterone test is not sensitive to amounts below 7?

Not sure if there are different T test sensitivities but my last one showed <1. I have read others on the forum even lower so I suspect yours is accurate. The effect of ADT my still be accumulating in both its reduction of T and your libido. Or you may be lucky and not lose it at all. Here's to you being the lucky one.

being the lucky one

I know I am

My first stroke of luck , besides being born in America in the 20th Century was # 366 in the draft lottery back during the Nixon administration.

Luck has continued to the present, with a few ups and downs. ;-)

I have no doubt that it will continue going forward.

Prostate cancer is a lucky gift. It has made me think deeply about the most important things in my life.

Love reading the posts on here by guys in remission for decades.

I have experienced many of the same sentiments. Successful treatments have helped in maintaining them. Unfortunately a lot can change with a blood test.

Interestingly, castration does not eliminate the ability to be sexually active for a surprising large percentage of men, according to some studies (done mostly on castrated sex offenders).

So, you appear to be one of the lucky ones. Being castrate WILL limit the ability to be fertile, and typically WILL reduce libido. (My low-T ADT has, so far, left me with an ability to have erections and "dry" orgasms, but with absolutely no significant desire to routinely have them... which is actually something of a blessing, since for the first time since my early teens the picture you posted does not apply to me!)
