Dx 3/15 62yrs Tulsa

G-9 PSA 203

Distant bones mets pelvis, spine, clavical, rib, lung.

5/15 Fermagon initial ADT, Xgeva

7/15 Eligard /6mo Vit D3 7/15 Taxotere

8/16 New bone mets 10/16 Lung nodes

10/16 Provenge

7/18 changed over to 22.5 mg Q 3mo Lupron

My PSA has been on a slow rise since Feb my Tulsa MO wants to start zytiga soon.

My MO at MD Anderson in Houston wants to wait till PSA reaches 2.0; I probably need to write him a letter and let him know PSA is trending up. I send him a sample every month or so since 2016 and the nurse emails back and says just keep watching it.

Side effects from medicines are not fun, but so far I am doing better than expected my old MO said I am on top of every curve for my dx.

I'm going to chiropractor tomorrow for back pain, I moved a desk out of my home office.

Don’t wait to start the Zytega. All the recent studies show the earlier the use the better. Read this pcnrv.blogspot.com/2017/06/...

If it we’re me, I would do zytiga now, get new scans for spine. Radiation took care of my husband’s excruciating back pain. Pain may be from overexertion but I’d rather be safe

I just sent an email to me anderson.

Thanks for the info.

I have side burns - but I was also talking about the song from rocker Leon Russell he went to my high school.

I need someone to find a cure before these treatments kill me. Lupron for the last 3.5 years might be the worst, it changed my mind I'm grumpy fat and weak and i turn red and start sweating (hot flashes.) You can tell by the way I weight I'm a math instructor

Ask your MO or urologist if venlafaxine "is right for you." This generic antidepressant stopped 95% of my hot flashes and severe sweats, and it started working the same day. I will take this the rest of my life, since I will continue ADT. Besides, my wife says my attitude has been adjusted!

For hot flashes I use a fan when possible and or carry a cup of ice chips. Ice chips on your teeth works really fast also I try to calm down and not worry about what ever is upsetting me.

gee the shit hit the fan with u. i've never known anyone on this site that got hit as hard as u have. good luck dude and god bless

To Larry E.

I must apologize for being so glib (and stupid) in my response to your question, I was trying to be funny (but at the wrong time). I went back and viewed your history and I'm quoting from you now:

"I asked him how long I had, and he said on average about 24-36 months. I went into shock a white screen mode my face only showed a test pattern after hearing the news."

Well than was 2015 and it's now 2019 which is 48 months you've been fighting "the Monster". So you see, Doctor's predictions are as reliable as picking a number out of a hat.

With all that's going on in the Pca world you'll be around for a very very long time unless the "the wind comes sweeping down the plain" gets you. OK?

Or with four daughters around your might drown in your own pee waiting to use the bathroom(s).

Enjoy your father's day tomorrow and if they take you out for dinner make sure they treat.

Good Luck, Good Health and Good Humor.

No j-o-h-n you always have timely jokes, and I enjoy all of them. Keep them coming.

And yes I know Doctors don't have all answers, they are human and are speaking from limited experience. (24 months turned out wrong).

No joke the bathroom is busy. Also you need to get up early around here for hot water. Larry E
