Toko, It sounds like you are in the right treatment, Men have come back from those High psa.
My own was a gleason 10 bpsa 148 with extensive mets. in june of 2006,I am now in chemo too, how is that going for you? I wish you the best, you are not alone here.
Seems good so far. Standard of care + prednisone.
Toko, your symptoms are like mine. I am 63 and was diagnosed in September 2016 with gleason 9, 420 psa, and metastases to the abdominal lymph nodes, no bones. I had the orchiectomy but declined the chemo due to steroid sensitivity issues. I am fighting the beast like you and wish you luck. What is capsicums benefit?
Hello timfiskwa,
I was on Bicalutamide from October 7 2016 until January 10 2017, PSA dropped from 1800 to 1200 to 225. January 2 I had my orchiectomy and without testosterone PSA dropped further: When I started with Docetaxel on February 14, PSA was down to 2.9. At the moment I had two (out of 6) chemo's and lost my hair and does not have to shave anymore (because of lack of testosteron). Docetaxel is OK: hardly any side-effects. At the moment I am in Spain where I will have Docetaxel nr 3, 4 and 5 at Quiron near Gibraltar. Medigo, Berlin arranged this for me. Hopefully PSA will be below 2, will let you know. Now I know that this PSA level does not say the world: the bastards will do anything to survive. Capsicum (2 X 500 mg a day) hopefully helps in combination with Docetaxel. We will know within a week. Keep fighting! Toko
