Oh man, you are dealing with a lot. I would definitely talk to your doctor and see if you can get something for possible depression/anxiety for a short time while you process this with a therapist/counselor. Your doctor will be able to help you decide whether to add something or change your adderall to something else. I am in DBT therapy, and it has been helping. they also have a form of PTSD therapy as well.

This has struck my heart and my best thoughts and sympathy is with you 😢..I lost my best friend just last year...unfortunately I didn't get the chance to say goodbye to him as it was all very sudden 💔...then I found out that he wasn't having a funeral because of 2 sisters and a brother was some disgusting to him...he didn't tell me this, he was protecting me because he knew I was only just getting back on track with my life, the silly sod...unfortunately words won't change how we feel, peace comes from the heart...just hang on to the good things and memories...you sound like you could be burning out trying to deal with emotions, for us ADHDers its a very hard task... we punish ourselves with the negatives all the time and our thoughts run wild...'what if' and 'I wish I' with burn you out In a matter of days...you do need professional help imo... I was lucky as I was in therapy when this all happened to me, so we worked through the crisis...as for your Adderall not working...if your burning out meds only cushion the pain and crazy thoughts and we can be blind to what the meds are actually doing...do you take multi vitamins with a high dose of vitamin C? Take vit C in the evening with iron...vit C cancels out the medication...Do you replenish your magnesium, zinc and B12?...This can help lift your mood and allow your brain to function a little better, stimulants deplete these particular vitamins and minerals if they are not replenished you will tire very quick...a little self care is needed here if your answer is No!... I find doing what me and my dad did together makes me feel close to him...funnily enough I'm going fishing today at me and my dad's special spot 🥲...this is also self care...I know this isn't the best idea but for something to help boost your meds...like I was doing...is caffeine...before my med adjustment it help to just stimulate that little bit more...I would not recommend doing this regularly but when you really need it, then we need it...Makesure to drink plenty of water preferably with electrolytes...this will combat the dehydration that's possible with caffeine keeping your blood thin and in turn not raising your blood pressure... I hope you get all the love and care you need in this time of need...🫂
