My mother is looking for good solutions and an alternative to medication (or one that's safe) for her ADHD since she has cardiomyopathy.

Welcome to the group! I recently read about non stimulant ADHD medication being available to people that don't respond well to stimulants.

One that was mentioned is Strattera. Here's the article: verywellmind.com/non-stimul...

You probably want to check with her doctor as well for any complications.

Cognitive Behavior Therapy is also a newer way to deal with ADHD. Great book out there called Mastering Your Adult ADHD A cognitive Behavioral Treatment Program. It's supposed to be done with a therapist.
