Hi everyone,

In my first post "A work in progress" I talked about discovering the 1,000,000 step challenge that is set between 1st of July to September 30th ... So 92 days to complete the challenge.

I am now four weeks in and this is my progress so far:

Steps w4 = 164,516 steps

Distance walked = 139 Km

Hours walked = 26 hours

Brisk walking = 1110 mins (18H30)

Calories 10k1 kcal

I have now completed 665,560 steps since 1st July and still on target.

The further into the challenge, if I can stay without injury, I will comfortably achieve my walking goal. That for me begs the question is it a challenge if it's comfortable.

I struggle like most of us with the will to continue doing it.. twice this last week to keep doing 20K+ steps a day I've gone back out at 8pm to top up my steps for the day. My excuse is "I have a full time job" but when I think about it ... I have hundreds of excuses as to why I shouldn't do it. I have to remember it's about me, my health that's why I took on the challenge.

That’s awesome! I’m nowhere near your amount of steps, but I do find that the best thing of these challenges is how they set your habit to a new level of activity. Once reached, one has raised one’s activity considerably and going back to “before” just is not an option anymore.

So I really hear you when you say “it’s about me, it’s about my health”.

And well done! Your achievements are awesome!
