A second entry to this photo challenge for me. I spotted there amazing little beasties on last night’s walk. They were massive! Not a lot left of the plants they were feasting on. I wonder what they’ll turn in to!

Wow, that’s beautiful! I searched through my ‘Wildlife in Britain’ book and the only one that looks similar is the Large White. Apparently it can be up to 4cm long and a gregarious l 🐛 to quote ‘it is not uncommon to see hoards of them demolishing the leaves of cabbages and other related plants’!
I saw some pretty butterflies on my hill/Forest walk today but none would stay still for a photo! 😂
