hi one and all,

Turned to aggressively the other morning in my bed! Fell out and fractured femur in three places🥴🥴🥴 had an emergency operation , rod screwed into knee and nailed to hip joint. My question is, if anyone has has similar. How long were they before they achieved good mobility. It’s three weeks since operation.

oh gosh! Sending you loads of patience for your recovery.

There have been posters on our forum who have managed to get their running mobility back but the best thing would probably be to let your physio know of your plans and work with them to get you back to where you want to be.

You can also search for terms like “knee replacement” and filter results to certain forums. It might point you other forum members with similar experience.

I would say, look also in our runner forums, as we have more members there, specifically Couch and Bridge, where we have longstanding members (Couch healthunlocked.com/couchto5k and Bridge healthunlocked.com/bridgeto10k )

Keep posting here whilst on the injury couch.

Hope this helps, even if a tiny bit. Wishing you a very speedy recovery!
