I went out on my short walk this morning 5 km at 6.30am. Set off with just light snow on ground but met the gritters and the men salting the pavements. 15 mins into my walk and the snow started falling heavily on rest of my walk in winter wonderland. I was wrapped up and yaktrax so on bottom of Altra shoes for grip incase I fell, just as well. I actually quite enjoyed it. Was like a snowman when I got back. Still pretty dark at 7.30 when I got back but blackbird and robin wAnting there porridge. Fed them and in for my hot shower and hot porridge π₯£.

That was a nice dark early 5K walk for you today this morning Doris8, glad that you enjoyed it despite the snow, ice and darkness, I wait until daylight before going a walk or run, yesterday morning I ran 3K as the parkrun I was going to was cancelled, this morning before sunrise but in daylight I intended to go a 11K walk, the weather was sunny after the sun rose, - 3C a little icy with a very light covering of snow on the ground, nothing to worry about, I was careful that I didn't slip, the walk was so good that I ended up walking 13K, not 11K, so both of us enjoyed our Sunday morning walk.
I have just received a text from my daughter inviting me to her house on Wednesday evening to have dinner with her, her husband and two children, it's to see her Christmas lights, on Christmas Day I will be going to her husbands parents house for Christmas Dinner and on New Year's Day she has invited me for dinner at around 5pm.
