Parkwalk at Parkrun

It’s so good to see that Parkrun is ‘running’ a strong Parkwalk campaign this month.

I haven’t yet managed to get out there and take my Nordic Walking Poles to a Parkrun, but it is just a matter of WHEN, not IF!

Here’s a Parkrun blog about:

“Top five ways walking helps your mental health” with Dr Hussain:

“There are about 500 ways in which walking is good for your mental health, so this will be difficult, but here are my top five. These are why each Saturday morning I can be found at one of my local parkruns!”

I can only do parkwalk now as running is too sore (pancreatic cancer) and I'm so glad parkrun are promoting it 😊 I usually walk with the tailwalker and have a good laugh at the same time as walking. Party at the back!!!

Party at the back... that sounds great! Walking is just such a great, universal form of exercise. Thanks for posting! It’ll push me to follow in your steps!

Sending you warm and healing wishes. 💚🧡💙

I invited my daughter, son in law and two grandchildren to come with me to parkrun in a couple of weeks to walk parkrun, they agreed to come, so that's something for me to look forward to.

I fully agree with you about that CBDB, nearer the time I'll tell them if they want to register with parkrun that they will get a time, position and age grading, if they don't register all they will get is a position and the word "unknown"
