Holiday walk with Mr D

We are on our way south to Folkestone ling drive down and stopping for a couple of nights at Newark on Trent . We had a short easy walk this morning to see castle from other side of river . and went to Sconce park this afternoon.Lovely walks where they do parkrun. Onto Folkestone tomorrow more walking if hip stands up ok . On my photos attached there is supposed to be a squirrel on left corner of wood, but it isn’t on my pic collage.

I walked there in February with my sister who used to live there. Interesting old market town.

I have no sense of direction and all streets look same to me, just as well MrD here. Have been trying Google maps and that has helped me. 😀

Is that a pony in the middle of the road? Huh... not something I'd get to see in my city-environment (nor on my treadmill 😂). The sculpted wood looks great, am curious as to the squirrel now. And I love buildings like that old ruin you post. A friend of mine is a diver and she showed me yesterday a picture of this thing that is above water an old nice looking ruin and is under water a stone quarry. Love things like that! Enjoy your walks!

Hi the pony was chained up but there was a water bucket there for it. Yes thanks will post a better picture of log .
