I have been on walks every day for the last week keeping the same pace when measured on my smart watch. My phone is in the same pocket but some days records 30 mins brisk walk, others 6 mins and some none, any ideas?

My smart watch is 4 years old but it regularly says I have walked 3 or 4 km when I haven’t walked very far . Now I go by my active 10 app on my phone . I know it misses some steps but it’s better to under count steps than over count them .
