Wanting to get fit/ lose weight: Trying to dechunk... - Active 10
Wanting to get fit/ lose weight
Welcome. The beauty of active 10 is that it can fit around busy lives pretty easily... just 10 minutes 3 times a day at a good brisk pace is very good for the heart and general fitness, taking you above the 150 minutes a week of heart raising exercise that is recommended by the NHS and other big health organisations... couple of strength sessions and you meet all their advice. That doesn’t mean pumping the weights necessarily either, Strength and Flex is a good programme that requires no equipment purchases of gym membership... we even have a forum for it here.
In my experience, fitness work brought a desire to be even more active and at the same time I started to watch my hydration, drink less alcohol, and make better choices nutritionally.
Exercise is a great way of de-stressing too.
Enjoy your journey to a fitter, healthier, happier you.
I empathise. On workdays exercise is bound to be less. Walk more if you can as part of your commute? It’s very difficult to fit it all in.
