Hi there, getting into exercise is a great journey to start. Are you using the active 10 app or just upping your activity? Both are good. Rfc x

Just getting out and walking as much as I can , and cutting down on the cigarettes .

Great thing to do, I quit 15 years ago, never looked back. Do feel fitter for it too, good luck. Rfc x

I just joined too. Do find walking okay but if fast paced get discomfort in my left leg due to vascular problems. Trying to exercise at home but been to tired from my shifts to exercise. Not a good pattern I suppose. Exercised this morning and will slowly build my energy level up.

I work in a restaurant kitchen as kitchen porter, it's very demanding at busy times. On my feet most shifts, accept my break.

Hopefully this forum will inspire me as don't want another heart attack. I know exercise, walking etc is mega important and I just must make time to overcome my hurdles, especially tiredness and than lack of willpower.

Take your increases very slowly and allow your body to get used to your new activity. We tend to respond better to slow and steady increases and stick with it for longer. I would imagine that being a kitchen porter will take some energy too so a good balance is needed. Rfc x

Yes thank you that's true. My job is quite demanding and I have to work fast when under pressure. I worked out a bit today and do a little workout tomorrow before work to wake up with πŸ™‚πŸ‘but I do rest as well and try to keep a balance. Just felt being lazy recently not doing any exercises, which wont benefit me at all. My legs felt better after my 10- 15 mins workout, I do feel the difference 😁
