Too hot for Rusty!

Yesterday I did a 2 hours and 11 miles run/walk in Stanmer sans dog (out with hubby). Today was forecast to be hotter so Rusty and I left home at 8 and walked from Preston Park to the edge of the Downs keeping to the shade a much as possible. 20000 steps and 8 1/2 miles. Not planning to do much for the rest of the day. Daisy1925

Hi Daisy1925, I am in awe if the daily miles you cover with Rusty. Also want to say thanks for the book recommendation when I first joined the forum 5 weeks ago it was very informative. Just recorded my first weeks weight loss of 5lbs and so impressed with all advice from the forum. Looking forward to celebrating your goal with you.

Hi Kazzi56

I found at the start of the journey towards better health that it was useful to go back and read sections of the book. I also wrote and occasionally revisit my weight loss plan. Today I looked at the National Weight Control Registry mentioned in the book and it so reinforces so much of what is recommended in this forum. It has studied literally thousands of people who have lost over 30 lbs in weight and managed to keep the weight off. Eating Less and Moving More (forever) seems to be the main message.

Great weight loss too! 5 lbs is fantastic

Thanks. I will revisit the book too. I've tried loads of clubs and plans but it's simple really and I have wasted so much time and effort trying something I can't sustain. I am so looking forward to fitting into my wide - no pun intended- range of clothes sizes in my wardrobe on my journey to a slimmer healthier self😊

I've managed to go down two dress sizes, from 16 to 12 and fortunately have loads of clothes that fit me again. My only problem is my old skinny jeans. They fit fine on the bum, tum and thighs but because of all the walking and running I am doing my calves are actually bigger and the jeans too tight on my lower leg. Straight or bootleg jeans from now!

Great getting into size 12's again - WTG - that's my dream. Shame about the skinny jeans but great that your toning with your running. Get into the bootlegs and flares! I'm a seventies girl still lol🏃‍♀️👖
