Fuzzing in head

I don't know whether this has anything to do with depression or depression medication but I have noticed lately that I often get small bouts of fuzzing within various spots around my head. Ive had it before but just ignored it but now its getting more and more annoying and its an uncomfortable sensation.

Hi. Is it like pins and needles in your head? How long does it last?

It could be migraines. Do you get any pain or vision problems with the fuzziness?

How long does it last? Have you noticed a pattern with when it happens?

Some medication can cause brain zaps as they are called. I've had them occasionally. Sometimes a fuzzy head too. It usually subsides but it sound like for you they are getting worse.

I'd go to your doc and talk about it.

Have you recently seen increased your dose of tablet? What medication are you on?

Best wishes 💗

If it is bothersome and interfering with your day to day functioning best to see your Doctor.

Have you been on sertraline long?

Hi Georgiamiaf. I too am on Sertraline (150mg). I know exactly what you mean, its like a tingling sensation, a bit like when 'someone walks over your grave' but on your head instead of your body. I got it all the time when I was first prescribed Sertraline. I remember rubbing myhead a lot. It seems to be worse when I've not had a lot of sleep. Don't know if any of this has helped...

I have been on sertraline for about 3-4 weeks now and I had the fuzzing sensation in my before before and whilst on medication but I will definitely mention it to my GP when I go. I'm exhausted all the time anyway so that probably doesn't help

Hi, I agree with the posts above. Sounds medication related. I get it on Citalopragm if I've missed a dose. Your GP should be able to advise.

Hello, I have been on many different medications, antidepressants and antipsychotics. I think what you are experiencing are 'brain zaps', whilst these are annoying and can be uncomfortable they are nothing to worry about, and should pass with timea. You may also get 'restless legs' at night that can be irritating. It is just the chemicals in your brain adjusting. I used to describe it as ice cold water being poured into my brain, if only it came with a cocktail😜. Take care.
