Hi, I am new to Health unlocked. I have had sjogrens for nearly 40 years and have suffered with rosacea for much of this. Over the last 12 months I have had photosensitivity badly and since then my face has been really bad. I have a permanent rash on my cheeks and my lips and gums at the front feel weird, tingling, stinging and numb sometimes. It never really goes away and is bad most of the time. I also feel as if I have a permanent cold, blocked up nose, sneezing.
Wondered if anyone out there has had a similar experience.

Hi I have Rosacea but not to the extend you are describing . It’s under control now but my dermatologist prescribed a course of Doxycycline tablets and a gel to be applied daily to my face Of course a Dr would have to assess you to prescribe something that works for you and that you’re not allergic to . I have to be careful in the sun too so apply sun screen wear a hat etc ( I live in the Caribbean ) Stress can also set it off . I do hope your Dr can help .
Hi Thank you for your reply. I am seeing my rheumatologist in 2 weeks so I am hoping he can help. He wanted to put me on Hydroxychloroquine last year but I had eye surgery and due to the problems that can be caused I have had to wait. I am hoping he will now put me on it. I am stressing about it so its a bit of a vicious circle!
