Can anyone recommend a good pad. I am finding that the pads irritate my skin and leave raw areas😑. I have tried always discreet and poise.

Have you tried reusable 'period' pants?

They're the only sanitary protection I can tolerate, but they're advertised as for incontinence too.

🙂 There is a Facebook group where you may find helpful information..

facebook.com/TENAWomen

Please contact the intermediate Gynae clinic in your area, they have female doctors to discuss such issues with, and you may benefit from a pessary to help prevent incontinence. They are separate from the GP, and deal with all matters female-menopause, prolapse, etc. There is also a tablet you can take for a sensitive bladder which helps to prevent incontinence. Also pelvic floor exercises too.

The sister of a friend had problems for 30 years, after her daughter's traumatic birth, and spent a fortune on pads. She is going on a Safari to Africa and I said to my friend about the intermediate gynaecologist clinic, and she should contact them-well, she did, and has been fitted with a pessary and is off to Africa not needing pads any more!! Freedom!!

Your information is very interesting, would that mean you could go to the gynae clinic at a hospital without an appointment

You would need an appointment as they are held especially for the intermediate gynae clinic. Either google that for your local Health trust, or ask the surgery for their details. but you don't have to be referred.

Try Asda's own brand which are one of the cheapest and as good as any others.
