Does anyone find their periods make their mental health worse?
I got mine yesterday, I was feeling low a few days before, but yesterday I had an awful panic attack, it was terrifying the feelings of despair and all the physical symptoms that came with it. Just an awful awful feeling.
Can anyone relate? X

I get like this about a week before mine is due - I think it's a sign your hormone ratios are off, e.g. estrogen dominance, progesterone dropping too quickly, maybe low testosterone.
May be worth visiting your doctor to check this isn't something bigger, like PMDD. It can be kinda scary on those days.
I would find if I had bad physical symptoms then my mental health wouldn’t suffer too much, but those months where it was flipped? Everything from white-hot rage to paranoia, and a couple of times the paranoia and rage came together and I can still feel the fear that if I felt threatened enough I could eviscerate the world. I don’t have any answers, other than to chat to your GP if you think they might help, and be gentle with yourself when having an episode. But you’re certainly not alone, even though the anxiety makes you feel that way.
You could probably benefit from natural progesterone cream It's progesterone that drops during your period which can even cause psychosis in some women
