I have been taking Prednisolone for 4 years starting with 60 mgs per day, I have managed to reduce it to 4 mgs per day ,reducing by 1 mg per day every 4 weeks but I now have severe itching over all my body which is really bad during the night causing me to lose sleep ,is this a reaction to reducing my steroids as it only started when I was on 8 mgs per day and is worse now 0n 4 mgs

This medication can be prescribed to control itching...but it can also cause itching as ‘reaction’.For the best advice see your GP
