Canker sore or gum abscess

Hi, I wonder if anyone could help me. I was brushing my teeth a little too vigorously last night and my gum began to bleed. This morning I woke up and this gum was very swollen and sore. As the days progressed I have a blister on the gum and it feels like its burning? Could this be a canker sore caused by gum injury from brushing too hard or is it more likely to be an abscess? The tooth doesnt hurt and has no fillings. Worries me as not had such problem before and I have an irrational fear of the dentists. Would be grateful of opinions on this please.

I think its most likely an ulcer from brushing too hard. I also have an irrational fear of dentists, but I have had a ton of work done on my teeth. The best easiest thing to use is either some bonjella or a teaspoon of sea salt in a mug of hot water, let it cool so its warm & then wash your mouth out with the water, a few times a day. If it gets worse see your dentist.
