Been crying with pain . Sore vagina pain. Had swabs as had discharge and cramping pain and soreness. Pain with sex. Trying to get a gyncologist appointment .

Has anyone else had this ? Is there any creams that can help … Is there any thing I can use to stop the pain gyncologist appointment day .

Had swabs crying with pain and even more sore the GP had to insert the speculum 2 times second time I was crying and felt like I could bleed !!

I am so young to have these issues I am not finding it funny.

Why should I not be able to have sex as so painful !! Sex should be fun!!

Does talking the pain over with a therapist help ??

It might be best to wait and see what the tests show.

It definitely can.

Yes it certainly can cause extreme pain - I was in agony getting swab test done but thankfully antibiotics cleared it up - I think a lot of doctors don’t consider bacterial vaginosis as I had been going a few times and they kept saying it was probably a UTI - hopefully it clears up soon for you

Thank you for this . I get the swabs are normal or it is trush . Never had a proper answer ! After the treatment the pain will still be there I bet !!

Then do you go back again as honestly I feel like I live at the doctors having swabs I just don't find it funny !?

No the pain clears up as the antibiotics deal with the bacterial vaginosis- when my antibiotics had finished I was given another swab which came back clear - bv is different to thrush x

Hello Cassandra

Thank you . I have had BV before and always seem to have the soreness so is it not related to bv then and the soreness is something different? If so any guesses what the soreness could be ? Thanks for all you answers to bv.

May I ask what age you are? I am on Vagifem which you insert into the vagina - it is a hormone but has definitely helped me with soreness in the vagina - I don’t know if Vagifem if only offered after menopause or not.
