Can anyone tell me if they have ever had a flank pain? Where is it and what does it feel like? Hope this make sense. I’m having a pain in my left side near enough the bone. Where the hip bit goes in.... any advice or help would be much appreciated

It’s in your back I can’t explain it as it was a while I had it but it’s bloody awful
🤔Flank pain refers to discomfort in your upper abdomen or back and sides. It develops in the area below the ribs and above the pelvis. Usually, the pain is worse on one side of your body. Most people experience flank pain at least once in their life, and the discomfort is usually temporary.

Thank you for this very helpful, I think this is what I’m experiencing? It’s very hard at the moment especially when talking to a doctor over the phone and can’t actually see them physically. Can we take anything for this or would it juts go away gradually? Thanks for your help

Left side rib pain here. Kind of wraps around towards back. Also some hip pain. At pain clinic I have gotten 3 to 4 injections of steroids. Also gotten injections in spine. Nothing doing. Done chiropractic and massage thetapy6. Massage therapy helps for a little bit. Am also interested in what other people tried. TIA
