I haven't had this particular infection but I have had E.Coli in my bladder and kidneys before. Sometimes ( I presume your being treated?) infections respond to different antibotics. It could just be that the tablets you are on are not treating it. Pain in the flank of your back indicates kidneys, which don't panic! is very very common with Urinary Tract infections! I recommend that you drink plenty of fluids and speak with you GP. Sometimes tablets can take a few days to start working, but if it has been more tha 2/3 days and you feel no better or little relief it could just be you need a switch. If you have had this infection for many weeks and are really uncomfortable I would call your GP or if they are closed call 111 or go to your local emergancy care.
So did another sample was told that I have E-coli which prevented me having the infection. Yes the antibiotics I had didn’t work so I’m on a different one from today. Has yours
Gone now? What did doctors prescribe you? And how long did yours take to go would really appreciate any advice. Also did you have back pain like me
Hi! its no problem! and I ended up having IV ciproflucloxacillin in hospital through an IV in the end, but I had complications as I have kidney issues hence why they did it IV x
