Hi Lovely,

I haven't had this particular infection but I have had E.Coli in my bladder and kidneys before. Sometimes ( I presume your being treated?) infections respond to different antibotics. It could just be that the tablets you are on are not treating it. Pain in the flank of your back indicates kidneys, which don't panic! is very very common with Urinary Tract infections! I recommend that you drink plenty of fluids and speak with you GP. Sometimes tablets can take a few days to start working, but if it has been more tha 2/3 days and you feel no better or little relief it could just be you need a switch. If you have had this infection for many weeks and are really uncomfortable I would call your GP or if they are closed call 111 or go to your local emergancy care.

Wish you well x

Gone now? What did doctors prescribe you? And how long did yours take to go would really appreciate any advice. Also did you have back pain like me
