Not so natural remedy for thrush!

Hi

Has anyone had success with a natural thrush remedy? Long story cut short, is that I am just about allergic to everything. Lots of different foods and lots of medicines. Have thrush and Canestan gave me hives. Steroids give me puffy lips. I have been scouring the net for solutions. Yogurt and honey looked REALLY promising and armed with my expensive Mauka Honey and natural yogurt I made a mixture and applied it. Stung like hell! Was it the yogurt or honey???? Just had to wash it off!!! This is sooo annoying! I've been told that I should take the canestan with an antihistamin but have had several reactions to different antihistamine!

Grateful for tips.

Thanks

Hi

Have you tried just the natural yoghurt by itself. I once tried natural yoghurt by itself and it worked. Sorry about this next bit...but did you try putting some on a tampon and popping it in. I did that and some on the outside and it cleared it up...think it took a couple of days. If you have regular bouts of thrush I know there is a candida diet you could try. Or extra natural products for down there.

Sorry to read you are so allergic to things, must make life difficult for you

All the best

Jo

Thank you for your response. Yes I have tried the yogurt on its own and that did sting a bit too! Maybe I'll try a tiny bit of honey on its own. Maybe the honey did something to the yogurt?! Like turn it into bleach!!! I did try the honey on my arm first inside my elbow and it was fine. Saga continues......

I will definitely try a candida diet.

Thanks Again.

My herbalist friend is a frequent sufferer & uses garlic cloves.

Peel & prick (to release the allicin) a whole clove or two, then thread with sterile cotton (for removal) & insert as you would a tampon.

Inserting raw honey could also help, though messy.

So bit of an update.... I tried pretty much all of the above. Honey and natural yogurt burnt and don't even ask about the apple cider vinegar. Honey on its own briefly helped but started itching and having puffy eyes. Went to the nurse today as too embarrassed to see a GP for the 5th time but no further forward /if not worse. The nurse got a Dr and both diagnosed lichen sclerosus. This is a chronic condition treated with steroid cream or ointment. Oh and I'm allergic to that too!!! Has anyone got any pearls of wisdom on this topic. (can't use steroid creams which is the treatment.)

I had oral thrush and I used peroxide, baking soda and apple cider vinegar to brush along with my toothpaste. I used warm salt water and peroxide to rinse.

Many mouthwashes contain sugar and sugar feeds yeast.
