I had a miscarriage in December. I didn’t realise until afterwards. I had about ten positive pregnancy tests and three or so negative ones. I then bled heavily with lots of clots, the bleeding stopped completely after two weeks. I read there was nothing the doctor could do so I didn’t bother going, I just waited it out. I went to the GP as I was still getting cramps and she was very dismissive and just did a pregnancy test which was negative and told me that I need to get on some contraception (I gave birth last October).
I feel like a fraud because the miscarriage hasn’t been recorded, I’m still getting cramps but surely that can’t be from the miscarriage or else I’d be very unwell by now. There’s no point going to the doctor now is there?

🤔 So, you had a baby in October, and then a miscarriage in December...It’s very sad, but early miscarriages can be quite common. If you’re concerned about unusual cramps, and you don’t want to see the same doctor, ask for an appointment with a different one, or ask to see the Practice Nurse for advice. If you did start contraception, find out if you’re having some reaction to it. Don’t put this off if you feel you may need medical attention.
