Low blood sugar

I am not diabetic, but I feel like I have low blood sugar a lot so I bought a meter to check, i have had it for over a year and never had a low and then In January I checked it and it was 3.5 (64) and I didn’t feel any symptoms I felt fine. I left it half an hour and tested again and it was 4.5 (74)? But this is ruining my life because it’s making my anxiety worse!

Hey, if you are not diabetic then best to get rid of the meter and instead do some mindfulness exercises to calm your anxiety. A non-diabetic body is perfectly equipped to manage the fluctuating sugar levels in your body throughout the day. It produces insulin when you are high and sends you signals to eat a little when you are low etc.

Best to tune into your body and if the worry and anxiety kicks in that make you want to check (and control) — try to let it go and do some gentle breathing or medidaton exercises instead.

Good luck for you 🍀

Hi I have to agree with Eva. The only way to find out if you have a problem is to get it checked with a doctor. if this is anxiety then I hope you are being treated for that. x
