Low ferritin

Hi

My ferritin is 38 , haemoglobin is 145. B12 is 865 .

I am now on sytron as the adults iron was so strong I had funny turns like a wave of passing out ! Was scary

Has anyone had success with sytron please ?

I’m taking three 5mls a day but taking one 5ml plus 2.5 at night as I’m so dizzy taking it if I take more at night I won’t feel it .

Does dizziness ever go ? If so what range would my number be if it does ?

Hello,

I’ve never heard of sytron. When I got checked out, my doctor told me my ferritin level was at a 4. I was surprised he didn’t order a iron infusion, but he prescribed ferrous sulfate 325mg. It made me extremely sick, I had to stop taking them. I ended up switching to Throne Ferrasorb and that is much better.

Do you eat everything with your sytron? That might help. I can’t anything before I eat, not even gummy multivitamins because it would make me sick. Something to help with dizziness are ginger drops by Tummydrops. I get them on Amazon. They do have a interesting taste, but they have helped me so much with dizziness. I eat about 2 or 3 and I feel a lot better.

Hi . What country are you in ? In in the UK . Sytron is a child’s iron liquid and doctors don’t always prescribe it for that reason. Adults iron was too much for me but I think the Sytron is helping. I don’t know if it’s because I take my iron at 9am instead of when I wake up straight away at 8.20 ? I will have a look at those ginger drops thanks .

Doctors are not educated enough unfortunately and they should of offered a transfusion.

Do you still experience any dizziness? What are your ferritin levels now ? X

Oh okay, I live in the US. I used to take a iron that was for child and it was much better for me than the adult iron. I agree the doctor should have ordered an infusion because i’m sure a ferritin level 4 is pretty low.

My levels are are a little bit higher, but still not high enough. The dizziness, however, has subsided a lot.

Yea, it is horrible.

My dizziness is worse in the morning. That’s good that it’s eased up for you . Mine last time it was tested was 38 so I’m hoping by April when I’m next tested that it’s much higher. Levels have to be 100 . X

I hope so too. Try the ginger drops or ginger period. It’s good for dizziness.
