Extremely painful periods after termination of pregnancy

I had a surgical abortion at 6 weeks in August. Since my periods have been extremely painful and losing a lot of blood. I’m changing a super tampon more then every hour on the first day. Cramps are debilitating, localize to the right side and over the counter medication doesn’t help much. Once the cramps end I’m still sore days later. I started Nuva ring last month to see if birth control would help. I have been on nuva ring in the past. My period never stopped but bleeding was medium-light and no cramps. currently on my period after starting the ring just last month. I had a ultrasound done and docoter said everything was normal. But this just doesn’t seem normal. Cramps prevent me from everyday activities and I’m close to tears. There’s gotta be something wrong

Thank you will definitely look into it. I’m willing to try anything at this point. Just knowing my period is close gives me anxiety. Not the type of relationship I want with my body

After the procedure I was fine. I had no pain. It’s only during my first day on my Peroid. I get a pulling sharp pain though my belly button.
