Tiny dark red dot appeared in end of tongue . ?

I noticed a tiny dark red dot on tongue at first i thought it was black but definitely dark red has appeared on tongue anyone else had this ? I was thinking possibly food related as in eating certain foods and irrating possibly . Like heat . Or crunching type foods fruits etc . Anyone else ? Will it just go ?

As you say..this could be caused by biting but…if it doesn’t go away, speak to your GP for peace of mind..it could be linked to an infection.

If it doesn't improve after a few days, see your GP. It's unlikely, but it could be something more serious - if so, the sooner you see someone, the better

It could just be an irritation. I would keep my eye on it to see if it changes. You could also make an appointment with your dentist to have it checked out if you don't want to go to your primary care provider regarding it. At dentist should be able to tell you what that is also.
