Fibroids and Diet

Research suggests that fibroid growth is connected to an imbalance of progesterone (too little) and oestrogen (too much) in women’s bodies.

Progesterone and Oestrogen are two of many hormones that make up a highly sensitive support system.

Your diet can be a key trigger that changes the balance of hormones in that support system.

A diet that promotes good gut health and liver function can only help to address that imbalance and avoid fibroid dominance.

A diet that is high in fibre and includes cruciferous vegetables (e.g cabbage), brown rice and oily fish (e.g mackerel) can help avoid fibroid dominance.

Try to avoid excess salt, sugar, alcohol and other items that hamper liver function and removal of excess oestrogen
