Hi this is not really women's health but my daughter that is 12 almost 13 has big breasts. She is a 34-C and is still growing at a steady rate. I do not know if this is normal or not.

Also we are arguing about when she can start wearing thongs every day as she dose not like having panty lines in her tights/shorts.

I do not think that breast size is to large or not normal for that age as some people start puberty earlier than others, For example me I started growing breasts at 9 and was a 32c at 11.5. It also depends on how big yours are as people that grow bigger breast will grow earlier that others.

Also for the thong i think that its fine as i let my 14 year old every day wear one.

I was 12 when I started my period. I think I was about the chest size you are saying. I weighed over 100 pounds and was aover 5 ft tall. I was one of the bigger girls in class. But, I quit growing, everyone else shot up past me and I ended up 5ft 2 3/4" at 115 pds with the same size chest as an adult as I had when I was a girl.

I started growing breasts around age 9/10. It is early, but it's becoming more normal for girls to develop early. I had C cups by age 12. She may stop soon.

That is VERY normal. Next time you visit your daughter's school (without being too obvious of course), check out the other girls. You'll see a whole plethora of boobs. We all develop at a different rate, and 34 c is pretty tame. My daughter is 13 and probably for the last two years I've been hearing about the big boobs of all of her classmates. They grow to be what they'll be and you can't stop it.

The thong? If she's wearing them for her and not so she can send pics of herself in them to people, why shouldn't she wear them? Thongs were designed for the purpose of wearing them with pants that would otherwise show panty lines.

It's important that you show her that you trust her while at the same time letting her know you have your eye on her. For instance, if my daughter told me she wanted a thong I'd probably say, "Now is this so you don't have panty lines or so you can send a picture of your ass to Brad?"

Thanks,I will let her were thongs now. Do you what ones would be the best ?

Girls are developing and going into puberty at younger ages than ever before and it’s caused by environmental pollutants and the prevalence of plastics which are xenoestrogenic synthetic hormones as well as the media which teaches young girls that their power lies in their ability to be sexual and available.

My humble opinion: Thongs cause uti’s and are inappropriate for young girls. You are the parent. You are the adult. You make the rules, no matter how much she resists or pouts or threatens. My parents had a stance and didn’t waver and it’s helped me do the same as an adult. Don’t cave. Please don’t raise a snowflake! I know how the mother/daughter road starts forking and it’s hard to let go. But stand for something. Show your daughter what it is to be someone with morals and convictions. Many parents want to be their kid’s friends when what they need is a Parent, a Role Model, someone who actually says what they mean and sticks to it. Don’t get bulldozed by brattiness because it will come back to haunt you. Teens are hypersexualized in the media like never before. Take a stand and teach her that dignity and self respect will get her much further in life than being an objectified vessel. Let her hang on to whatever innocence is left while she can. The more you cave, the less respect she’ll have for you. Be her parent, not her friend. Her life hangs in the balance.

I was like that at 12. The hardest thing for her yo deal with is the attention from men who should have nothing to do with her at her age. Keep the lines of communication open mama.
