Need Mirena Pain Advice (ASAP)

Hi guys-hoping someone will have gone through what im about to share because I honestly need to hear if its normal or will lessen?

Okay so I had my Mirena Coil (5year) fitted in September 17 and it wasnt the greatest start to the experience as I had a very bad fitting!! My body went into shock and i nearly fainted😐 however the pain stopped after about a week and I didnt have the heavy, lengthy period that everyone talks about.

My periods are pretty regular give or take a day and i cant feel my coil or any pain..until the week before i am due.

This is the part i need reassurance on-this pain isnt an ache or a dull pain.. this is a sharp, piercing pain..like im being stabbed in my womb for about 10-15 seconds on and off.. this will happen literally for an hour a day (maybe less) before i start my period. This pain will often “travel down my womb” and will sometimes feel like its literally in my vagina lips (sorry thats gross i know).

This pain will make me burst into tears within 5 seconds and then after it worsens in this little time frame..the pain will go...give it about 5/10 mins and it will come back again for another 10/15 seconds.

When this happens, i cant stand up, i often just curl up and cry. Ive never had kids so i dont know what this compares to contractions or anything so ive had to describe it like this!! (Sometimes il even feel the need to go to the toilet for a no2)

If anyone can help that would be great, ive had no other side effects..just this.

I had something similar last year but later found out the coil had fallen out!! Go back to your docs and get them to check it's still in place.
