Constant Tiredness

Hi I'm new to the group. I feel tired all of the time. It doesn't matter how much sleep I get, I try to ensure I have a regular bed time routine. I exercise regularly. It's not period related as I had a hysterectomy 3 years ago. Getting to the stage I am thinking about seeing my GP to get checked out. Any suggestions on what could be the cause or how to try and beat the tiredness please? Thanks

Hello! I'm always tired as well but I think everyone has different sleep needs... I was always a sleeper and now with adulthood we have to go by schedules and sleep less and be more stressed...

I your tiredness can be health related or maybe you don't have enough nutrients or it's biological related

Hi,

Have you had your thyroid checked, might be low thyroid.

See your doctor I struggled with this for 6 months and was so tired I would fall asleep at work. I was seeing my doctor regularly had blood tests etc. I saw a specialist who diagnosed CFS there is no cure. I changed my lifestyle by pacing myself and changed my diet, after 9 months of work I did recover.

Don't give up get some advice from your GP

I wish you well

Thank you all for your advise - I will be making a gp appt to get checked over.

Have you noticed any other symptoms? Do you eat well? Look at the list of symptoms of Underactive Thyroid on Thyroid UK website.

Also look up symptoms of deficiencies in various nutrients on NHS choices and other sites. Look up

Vitamin D, B12 & Folate also Ferritin.

Look up Anemia.

You could ask your GP to do some blood tests: Thyroid Antibodies TPO and Tg. Also TSH, Free T3 & FreeT4.

Also blood tests to check levels of above nutrients.
