Hi, it's. little disturbing but i've been on my period for 8 days now and it's still going idk what to do, i had intercourse about a few days before starting what does this mean?

I say wait it out, it could simply be a hormonal imbalnce, my periods were always 7 days long and heavy till I last year where they became 14 days long, I was put on a birth control pill and it cleared up the imbalance.

You can get pregnant before your period and on your period but it takes at least 3 days for insemination to occur when your at your code to your period since your hormone levels dropped. The likely hood of an early miscarriage is very low unless if your period was late. If you develop clots go to the ER.

Always best to get any unusual (for you) periods out. I had a ectopic pregnancy when I was 19 and by the time it was identified and I had had the operation and the after effects of that I had been bleeding for 64 days. I had at that time periods of 5 days and should have realised at 9 days something was amiss. It was not helped by 6 GP's missing what it was but that is 40 yrs ago now and nowadays they/or you could rule that out straight away by doing a pregnancy test. Please go to you doctor and find out what is happening. If its unusual to you then it is usually something that is not right. Good luck.

In my case it was a hormonal imbalnce with endometriosis.
