Hi all,
I'm new to this group and am hoping someone may be able to advise me regarding my symptoms.
I have had almost constant, very light bleeding between my periods this month (only a small but noticeable amount each day). I have a history of bleeding between periods, after sex and after exercise, which eventually led to a diagnosis of underactive thyroid (autoimmune) at which point I started on the appropriate meds and my periods went back to normal for about a year. I have taken the contraceptive pill for a number of years without any issues but it doesn't seem to stop the bleeding.
I had a scan in November 2015 which showed my ovaries were normal. Other symptoms include: night sweats (occasional), insomnia (frequent), night terrors (increasing in frequency to about 3 a week), recurring shingles (small patch on shoulder recurring every month or so), mood fluctuations, weight gain around abdomen only.
Could this be early menopause? I am 32 with no children. Or any ideas on what else it may be? I am travelling until later in the year and therefore cannot visit my gp. However I could visit a gynaecologist abroad if necessary.
Thanks in advance.
M
