Hi, I'm not sure who to ask about this so I guess I will try here. I am 17, almost 18 and have no insurance, so I cant go to the doctor. When I was fourteen, I became sexual active and my mother, whom I was living with at the time, put me on implanon, the birth control rod they place inside of your arm. I had not naturally had a period at this point so they gave a pill to start so they could place my birth control. When I was 15 i moved in with my father and I had a chemical imbalance and he had the rod removed. Up until this point, i had had bled every day since they gave me that pill. I stopped about a week afterword and havent had one sense. My parents have not taken me to the doctors to have it checked out. Two days ago, I noticed when I wiped, there was blood. Every time I wiped up until 1:30 that after noon there was a little bit of blood. After 1:30 i stopped bleeding for the rest of the day. The next morning i was in sever pain and couldnt get it to dull. I had started bleeding again and by the afternoon, i had stopped again for the rest of the day. I woke up today and its doing the same thing. Should I be worried? Im only bleeding for a little bit in the morning and then I stop, and ive never had a regular period before...

Hi Cassie😊
I'm guessing you live in the U.S. since you mention not having insurance.
This could actually be the start of a regular menstrual cycle, it's not uncommon to experience discomfort low down and sometimes the flow is erratic before it becomes
established. Regular painkillers are usually taken for period pain.
It might be a good idea if you could find some way of getting medical advice because of your previous history, this would put your mind at rest😊 xB
