Hi,

There is no cure for arthritis but there are a number of treatments that can help slow down the condition’s progress including regular exercises that don't put excessive pressure on your joints such as:

Swimming

Thankyou, I enjoy swimming and will give Yoga a try. Thanks for the links too.

I also have arthritis in hips and knees and started a Shibashi Tai Chi class three weeks ago. It is gentle and I am managing it very well. Lots of information at taichi18.com if you can't get to a class. I am also using a rowing machine once a week (lowest level of effort!) and can now do 10 minutes (started off at 2 mins). Have definitely seen an improvement in flexibility of joints but still need painkillers.
