I have been trying to loose weight for quiet some time now but I'm very inconsistent with my eating and excercise and it keeps fraustrating me. I have come to the conclusion that it's time to set my mindset right and just stay focused until I reach my pen ultimate goal. I'm 20 and I currently weigh just over 16st which is very unhealthy and obese in fact. After checking my BMI on the NHS website it advised me that I need to lose 5st Inorder to leave the obese category. I have set myself a target of loosing at least a stone each month until October, 5 months from now, to change my lifestyle and transforming my body and gaining significant muscle through my weight loss journey so I'm gonna to need all the help I can get.

5st weight loss journey
Hi, welcome! I wish you lots of luck on your weight loss journey but I think it unlikely you will be able to lose weight that fast in a way that is sustainable. I am sure you could lose a stone a month for a few months, I certainly did but now weight loss has slowed. I weigh just over 17 now and I have set myself a goal of a stone for next 6 weeks. I will then go on holiday, gain a bit then come back and lose a stone in about another 6 weeks. I worry if you set yourself too fast a goal you won't achieve it and then give up. I see people on here all the time disappointed with slow weight loss but I think the experts say 1-2 lb a week for good reason. I am not trying to put you off though. Weight loss will certainly be quicker at first depending on what your diet is like b4 you start. Good luck and keep posting!! 🤞
Hi Qkessie
Welcome to the weight loss forum.
I don't wish to put a downer on you before you start but I have to say losing a stone a month is a bit unrealistic and would say why not aim for half a stone instead.

Okay thank you
there is no "instant oatmeal" recipe for weightloss, it takes time. Eat well, exercise, drink lots of water, and get rest. There are no shortcuts....keep at it.
Following on from Mark,....keep happy. If you are, then you will not comfort eat. Have a look at the pinned posts for 'happiness' stuff.
Probably not feasible, but have you thought about changing your job to avoid some temptation. Are you able to request a switch of roles with your current employer? Even if this is not possible now, it may be something to aim for when possible? what do you think?
Best wishes and keep on keeping on.
